Choose here the best Bed & Breakfast facilities in Sirmione for a different kind of holiday experience on Lake Garda.
There are many traces of Sirmione left in literature since the Roman period. In particular, poet Catullus, whose family owned a residence in Sirmione, mentioned the town in his verses. Walking along Via Catullo one can reach shortly the archaeological area of "Grotte di Catullo"– the site of the Roman villa built in the period between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD. The area is also accessible with a tourist train. The site is enormous: a real balcony facing Lake Garda, with frescoes, columns and mosaics. Open to visitors all year round.
